Men in Honour: A man of Knowledge uses words with restraint, and a man of understanding is even- tempered Prov. 17:27
In every culture "men" are finding it difficult to find their place in a fast changing world. Africa is known as the "fatherless" continent and Men in Honour hope's to address these pertinent issues like "manhood", masculinity, sexuality and to equip, motivate and challenge men who are fathers to improve their fathering skills and become godly fathers. It is important for men to become spiritual leaders in their homes, families and communities.
The department has a strong entrepreneurial flair that seeks business and employment opportunities inside and outside of the church hereby affording men to fulfil their God given responsibility as Provider. Paul says in 1Tim5:3, that we must make provisions for those in need.
Book Club and Resource Centre
Men in honour has a newly formed book club and resource centre aimed at assisting men to educate and equip themselves from a literacy perspective in order to become better conversationalist.
Social Issue
It is said that most family problems comes from father failure, it is further said that to destroy a nation you first need to destroy a family unit. Men in Honour believes that in order to build a strong nation you need to establish strong families and it is our intent to equip our men through the programmes we will be hosting
Annual Men's Conference
Men's conference like all other conferences is important as men are equipped and resourced with the essential tool to help them grow in their walk with Christ. The conference will be held over 2 days and men from Crystal and surrounding denominational, non denominational, surrounding provinces and international guest will all be affording an opportunity to bask in the presence of God and hear what God's word is for men for such a time like this.
Vision
It is the desire of Men in Honour for men to embrace their service in the Kingdom. We hope that through our programmes we will create a platform for men to realise who they are in Christ, for them to be empowered to dream big for their families and careers and for these men to stand for moral, ethical and social issues founded and girded on the Word of God. Men who will preach the Word of Jesus Christ through their conduct and be a representative of Christ as King, Priest and Shepherd in their homes. The ultimate challenge is to become godly husbands, fathers, and supporters of their pastor and faithful servants of the Lord Jesus. Men in Honour, is a footstool for every man to find his place in the Kingdom.
