Remarkable Women, where the broken, the discouraged, the lonely, the down trodden can be inspired, empowered and encouraged to break the shackles and become the woman God has destined them to be. Where real issues, concerns and hurts are dealt with in a sisterhood manner. Where pray has become an institution for learning that the best place to become strong is on your knees
Under the visionary Ps Joan Hendricks, whose concern for what society and the media at large portray what "they" think women should be like, a stereotype, one who walks, talks and dresses in a certain manner. Realised that this message suggested that women needed to be fixed or improved on at the risk of not being loved or accepted. This ultimately leading to women not supporting each other but competing with one another. Instead of transforming women started conforming to what society and others expected of them, hence so much pain and brokenness because so many women are still yearning for the real women to step out and step into their God ordained purpose and ultimately becoming pillars in the Body of Christ.
Monthly Events
Our monthly events is aimed at getting women together to "fellowship" –build relationships, provide spiritual growth and inspire women to realise and attain their divine purpose in Life. Our monthly meetings have well thought programmes all aimed at equipping and empowering women
Book Club- "A capacity and taste for reading gives access to whatever has already been discovered by others. Abraham Lincoln"
Joining a book club is a great way to meet people and be introduced to books that you might not otherwise read, it is also another form of fellowshipping. Active reading enlightens your mind, broadens your horizon, expands your knowledge and opens up new avenues for you.
Heart 2 Heart
We are to encourage one another, build up one another not tear down. Pray for one another James 5:16. This is what Heart 2 Heart is all about, where two hearts are joined together. Pain and suffering is a dark, suffocating tunnel with no light when you are on your own. By joining Heart 2 Heart you have a sister who will walk with you, encourage you, have fun with you and pray with you
Annual Women's Camp
Ladies are invited to our annual camp, where real issues are addressed in a comfortable and relaxing manner allowing women to open up and address issues close to their hearts that they would not normally talk about. The purpose of the camp is for spiritual growth, for women to fellowship with each other (relationship building) and to inspire to become the woman God has destined them to be. The programs are directed towards increasing self confidence and self esteem. We have an awesome time at the camp; it is an opportunity to spend some me time and still address pertinent issues.
Remarkable Women's Annual Conference
The annual conference coincides with national "woman's day" which is celebrated on the 9th of August. Guest speakers are invited to address the women attending the conference, preaching God's word to God's women. Ladies from surrounding provinces are invited to attend the conference. Conferences of this nature is like going out for dinner, where you are served a menu (the speakers) with different dishes (the word), you never know what you are going to receive unless you attend.
Annual Year End Event
This is by far a highly welcomed event, where we go away for a day and fellowship with each other. The singing and laughter is evident of the relaxed atmosphere that this event creates. It is comradeship where you can just be yourself and allow the "girl" instead to surface and have "fun" a word deleted from most women's vocabulary.
Vision
The vision of the women's ministry is for women to get to a position of wholeness. For 200 women to attend our monthly events and 4000 our Sunday services. For women to realise their full potential in God regardless of colour, status or education and in so doing growing spiritually. For women to know and believe that they have being "fearfully and wonderfully made" and that we need to support each other during trials and challenges and not compete with each other. For women to realise that they can be all things through Christ who strengthens them and for women to be transformed and elevated into the woman who knows how to enter God's presence and obtain His favour. Our hope is that each woman lives by the slogan "I bring, Reverend preaches and God saves
