About Us
Crystal Ministries International, (CMI) founded in 1992 by Rev Carl and Ps. Joan Hendricks on the "porch" of their home. Starting with only eight people, God graciously added to the church, just like the word says "And the Lord added to the church daily those who were being saved" (Acts 2:47). The church grew in numbers and moved into a classroom and later a tent in Marney Street Eldorado Park Ext 9. Through God's sustaining grace, we moved into a building on the same premises where the tent used to be. We then took our final journey and moved into the auditorium in Aeroton, South of Johannesburg. By moving to Areoton we moved from been a community church to a city church, where all are welcome, a place where individuals and families can grow and flourish in faith and discover God's plan for their lives.
What we believe
We believe that God created humanity in His image, as man and woman to be equals in their own unique functions, to live in spiritual purity. We therefore believe that a marriage can only exist between one man and one woman. Those individuals who for whatever reason find it impossible to function in the sacred institution of marriage, will not be discriminated against in their function as members of the Church and in the holding of any office in the Church, provided that they submit to the authority of the Bible for all matters of faith and conduct.
Statement of Faith
That the Bible is the sole and final authority for all matters of faith and conduct.
In the eternal God-head who has revealed himself as one God existing in Three Persons; Father, Son and Holy Spirit- distinguishable but indivisible.
That the Lord Jesus, the Saviour of man, conceived of the Holy Spirit born of the Virgin Mary, is true God and true Man.
That Jesus Christ died for our sins, battled with satan, overcame satan and rose again on the third day.
In the bodily ascension of Jesus into Heaven, His exaltation and in the personal, literal and bodily return of Jesus to rapture His Church.
In the salvation of sinners by grace, through repentance and faith in the perfect and sufficient work of the cross of Calvary, by which we obtain remission of sins.
In the necessity of water baptism by the immersion in the name of the eternal God-head, in order to fulfil the command of the Lord Jesus Christ.
In the baptism of the Holy Spirit as a real experience at/subsequent to salvation.
In the operation of the Gifts of the Spirit.
In the Holy Communion/The Lord's Supper for believers.
In the reality and personality of satan and eternal judgment in the Lake of Fire for satan and his angels and their eternal condemnation to the lake of fire.
In the eternal life for believers and eternal punishment for unbelievers.
That there is ONE true universal church, made up of genuine believers, composed of many local churches all under the Sovereign Headship of the Lord Jesus Christ.
Partnership
A warm welcome from Carl Hendricks Ministries to all existing and new members. As a growing church we needed to form partnerships in order for CHM to fulfil its God given vision. That is to have local churches in other provinces in order to reach God's people. As a partner, you become faithful in this vision and if there is one truth that I pray you get is the importance of tithing and being a partner. Remember that you are blessed by association and as you're Pastor, I pray God's blessing, prosperity and love on your life, your families, your children and your associates. It is through your monthly contribution (seed) and commitment that we will be able to fulfil this vision (Destiny). Thank you for your support and commitment. Membership
Church membership is a way of identifying oneself with a local body of believers like Crystal Ministries International – CMI. By taking out membership you are in agreement with the church and are willing to be identified as a representative of it. By taking out membership you are stating that "I am a Christian and I believe Crystal Ministries International is my spiritual home". Being a member allows us to get to know you better and allows us to cater for your needs.

Life Groups
In a ministry the size of Crystal it is impossible to know everyone but critical to know someone. Life groups are where you meet different members of the church who live in and around the same area. These groups are there to encourage, pray, nurture and study the word of God. In a life group you take a much needed break from life's everyday demands and invest in what's important, your relationship with God and your relationship with people around you. Life groups facilitate the intimate support that you will need and where close relationships can develop. It is also effective for changing attitudes and behaviour. Most Life Groups consist of between 8 to 12 members who meet for an hour and a half every week throughout Gauteng. Crystal Ministries is a big church and life groups are a great way to make it small again.
